Printing a QR code that scans first time
Why 3MF and not STL
STL only stores the shape: it knows nothing about colours or parts. 3MF is the modern 3D printing format and keeps both parts of the object — the base and the raised code — with their colours in a single file. Your slicer opens it with the parts already separated.
Contrast is everything
Phones read the code from the difference between light and dark. Use a light base and a dark code. The tool warns you when the two colours are too close.
Minimum size
Each little square should be at least 1.5 mm, otherwise the nozzle rounds the corners and the code smudges. Long links mean more squares: if the warning turns red, make the object bigger or shorten the link.
With a single-colour printer
The keychain and the plaque have the relief on top of a flat base, so you can do a filament change by layer: pause at 3 mm on the keychain or 3.5 mm on the plaque and swap filament. The table stand needs a multi-colour printer.

How do I make a QR code for 3D printing?
Paste your link in the tool, pick the design and the format (table stand, keychain or wall plaque), add a text if you want and press «Download 3MF». Open the file in your slicer, assign one filament to the base and another to the code, and print.
What is a 3MF file and what opens it?
It is the standard format for modern 3D printers. Unlike STL it stores the parts and their colours in a single file. Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer, Cura and most current slicers open it.
Can a 3D printed QR code be scanned?
Yes, as long as there is good contrast between base and code and the squares are not too small. Use a light base with a dark code and respect the minimum size the tool shows. Scan the preview with your phone before printing a batch.
What size should a 3D QR keychain be?
With a short link, 40 to 45 mm works on a keychain. With a long link or a logo in the middle the code has more squares, so go up to 50 or 55 mm. The tool shows the live size of each square.
Can I print two colours with a single extruder?
Yes, with the keychain and the plaque. Add a filament change at the layer where the relief starts (3 mm and 3.5 mm): the base prints in one colour and the code and text in another. The tilted stand needs a multi-colour printer.
Does the QR code expire or have a scan limit?
No. It is a static QR code: the link is inside the drawing itself, so it works forever, with no scan limit and without depending on this site.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is completely free and there is no sign-up. Download as many PNG, SVG, 3MF and STL files as you like, commercial use included.
Are my links or my logo uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is generated inside your browser: neither the link, nor the wifi password, nor your logo leaves your device.
